Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people 65 years of age or older. It pays for much of your health care, but not all of it, such costs could be, prescription drugs, deductibles, coinsurance, dental, and eyeglasses.

There are several new programs available in our area that help with the high cost of health care, including Medicare Supplement programs, HMO programs and the new Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefits.
